Preschool Developmental Program

Our Choi Kwang Do pre-school developmental program is designed to provide young children with a warm and nurturing environment to instill the necessary skills and mannerisms to embrace life with an “I can do it” attitude! Preschool classes are designed for preschool aged children, three to five years of age, to help develop the essential physical, cognitive, emotional, social and behavioral skills that they will need to move forward in life with a positive mental attitude! It is very important to understand that children are only evaluated in comparison with their own development and not with the other children in the class. Children learn through positive reinforcement, rather than negative reinforcement.

Children are never “punished.” A child’s incentive for behaving well in class by listening and following directions is to be able to participate in the activities and earn their belt stripes. Here are some of the benefits for your child will learn in this class:

If your child is Shy or timid:

• Increases self-confidence, self-esteem, inner strength
• Promotes interaction with other children

If your child is Hyperactive:

• Channels energy, focus and concentration
• Teaches children appropriate behaviors

If your child is Developmentally delayed (physically):

• Improves gross and fine motor skills
• Improves balance, coordination and self-control

If your child is Developmentally delayed (cognitively):  

• Increases mental capacity and cognitive development

If your child has Emotional needs:

• The opportunity to learn life enhancing skills in a safe, warm and nurturing environment

If your child is Aggressive:

• Channels aggression via constructive activities
• Teaches Children appropriate behavior
